holy crap, how do you find these craigslist gems? I think people in new york sit in cl and hit the refresh button every 10 minutes, grabbing all the good stuff. that or people here know that there are people here who will pay anything as long as its just slightly less than the in-store price.

ps. your place is look amazing! damn I'm jealous.

Wow, I don't have the patience to weed through all the crap and bad knock offs on craigslist, maybe I should get a little more serious about it.

Thanks guys! I think the key with craigslist is persistence (i search everyday) I don't really need the stuff most days, but the hunt is the most exciting thing. My two favorite searches are: danish, and mid century. You're not going to believe it, but these two chairs were $175! The guy even knew what they were worth, he was a designer too and knew I would appreciate them. So cool.

Kate, you should try ebay too, I got a great danish lounge chair (that needs some love) for $100 including shipping. I think NYCrs are more saavy than us and can spot the treasures. That's what you get for not living within driving distance of renton!

I've actually been trolling ebay a lot lately and had an aggravating bidding war with someone this weekend over a sweet arm chair, but sadly I lost. I was rather surprised at the low shipping cost of somethings. Emphasis on the SOMEthings:)
