Music Design

When I was in highschool all I wanted to do was design cd packaging when I "grew up". It's a dying business that I'm torn on due to the movement of digital music being so much less wasteful, but you lose that (sometimes) beautiful tactile product. I admit that I've purchased physical cds even though I already owned the album digitally just because the design was so gorgeus.
Perhaps the recent surge in vinyl sales will save the jobs of those who design music packaging? Ever since I bought a record player a few years ago I haven't bought a single cd, instead feeding my need with beautifully designed record packaging.

Anyway, feast your eyes on this site, Hard Format, a collection of music design. Delicious.

And Graphic-ExchanGE's cd & music section. (The whole site is rather fantastic too)
