Logology: Get it!

I bought the Logology Book Andrea posted about a while back and let me tell you, it is the BEST!
SO much stuff in it, packed with more logos than your brain can possible handle at once, all nicely categorized. One thing I find funny is that they organize them by style and put logos that look similar next to each other, which ends up being a little embarassing for some companies because its hilarious to see logos that are ridiculously similar.
Anyway, its worth the money, and bound in leather with orange gilded pages!

edit: Get it here!

Refinery 29 Shops

I recently discovered the Refinery 29 Shops which is a "a virtual marketplace devoted entirely to the spirit of independent fashion." And, it's great! The site is very easy to navigate, and like the clothes and objects, it is refined and beautiful. The items are quite pricey, but it's a good place to find special pieces or inspiration. And if you're lucky, you'll find something you love in the sale section.

Juice Planning

I saw this bag in the latest issue of Blueprint and was drawn to it's simplicity and great price, and it lead me to a weird but great website, Juice Planning.

Seems to be a pretty cool site with lots of random Japanese things, like Cram Cream wallets and cute totes.

We Dream in Colour

Hooray! One of my absolute favorite jewlery designers, We Dream In Colour finally has a new line out-Ch'ing that I'm in love with.
This season is really pricey due to the materials used (Rare hand carved Mother of Pearl counters from mid-1700’s!), but absolutely fabulous.

mid century browsing

I've been browsing flickr photo groups lately and came across a fun mid century interiors pool.

This photo from twittering bird was my favorite. I especially love the lamp -- the shade has a pattern inside! That walnut Eames chair always makes my heart skip a beat too.

mmmmarimekko!

Summer is on it's way, it's 76 in Seattle today! I'm digging these sweet leaf prints from marimekko, maybe some new curtains? I'm craving yellow at the moment.

*swoon*

did you miss me?

One of my most favorite magazines ever happens to be French and for kids. Two things I can't relate much with, but MiLK is just that cool my friends. Incredible photos, art direction, typography, style. It's insanely inspirational for a kids magazine.

Here are some of my favorite spreads from this month's issue: (crappy scans)

(I'm crazy about this shot)

discovered in rome

Fashion is everywhere in Italy, and while I never grew tired of it, I kept looking for that really distinctive shop that I couldn't find in America. Fausto Santini was was that shop. A mens and womens handbag and shoe shop in Rome. The materials were used in new ways and the color combinations were uncommon. Thick strapped leather handles and shoes, fancy leather combined with so not fancy mesh, exaggerated zippers varying in size -- it was all good!
Unfortunately, I don't think you can purchase in the US. For now, their site is a great source of inspiration: www.faustosantini.it
