holly ives

i'm rarely inspired by coffee shop art, but my jaw dropped to the basement when i saw the work of holly ives at zeitgeist this morning. if you live in seattle, you must go check out her stunning work in person, my favorite piece is not online.
this may not be your thing, but rick and i have a soft spot for industrial art. you know, like levers, cranes and junk yards–we think they're awesome.

Coffee shop art is so Seattle. Here's its little boutiques who have little art shows, but Seattle is all about coffee shop art. And you're right, it usually sucks. But this is awesome. and GOOD LORD I miss zeitgeist!!

i also forgot to say that this piece is gigantic and has another panel, so, life sized radiators.
