Elvira Style Lesson
Last night I finally saw Scarface. Don't punch me, but I wasn't really into it. I won't go into my reasons because who cares, because what this post is really about is Michelle Pfeiffer's character. More specifically: her sunglasses. Look at those babies, those are fantastic. They're Jackie O meets cat eye. It's not as if its a shape I've never seen in my life, but it's definitely a shape I was never into until seeing her wear them.
So this is what I can find online. these at vintageswank, these at 28crash (awesome vintage site, btw), and if you don't care about being authentic, these at forever 21.

her entire character in that movie is riveting. it makes me want to stop eating for 100 years and pull off that slinky blue dress she wears.

i do love that movie, but i think it's mostly because of my huge crush on al pacino (don't worry, rick knows.)
I totally forgot about your Pacino crush! I swoon for him in The Godfather, but I'm not into him in Scarface. Maybe if I'd seen the movie when it came out back in the 80's it would seem more powerful to me, but holy god it has some trouble holding up.
and ps. Tessa, I'm totally in agreement. I was eating a bag of Doritos when she came on the screen and I wanted to puke them up.
yes, the glasses are great, but the white suit is what kills!
i think gwen stefani did a good job of pulling off her look, even though it's not the best look shes had...
