Homesick

I'm incredibly homesick lately. I suppose that's ok because in less than 2 weeks I go back to the motherland and I'll probably long for New York after 2 days of my family:) But there have been a few Seattle things that have tugged on my heart a bit lately.

The image above was taken by my friend Micah.

And here's Andrea's photo of the industrial district.

And this lovely lady is from the Pike/Pine Seattle street fashion blog. She's standing in the grocery store that Micah and I spent more time in college at eating things like half pies and burritos than probably necessary.

And this is a photo from a camping trip my dad took me on to La Push in the Washington rain forest nearly 3 years ago before I moved to New York. It may not be warm, but it's one of the best beaches I've ever been to in my life.

As I moved from Seattle to New York, I went back to the Seattle area for Christmas and I was missing New York immediately.

I flew in at night but some friends, also from Seattle, flew in during the day and said seeing all of that green from up in the sky made them miss Washington and their hometown.

I loved getting the donuts from that place in Pike Place or just walking around the Seattle Center at night (I lived in Belltown).

Hi Kate - I'm glad you like that photo - it's one of my personal favorites as well.

I really enjoy your blog, by the way. Keep up the good work!
