Busy Day Music
I’m swamped at work today with tedious photoshop tasks, so having my iPod on constantly is key. I just bought Beck’s Modern Guilt this morning after New York magazing named it one of the top 10 albums of the year. I’m such a huge Beck fan, and unlike most people I know, my favorite album is Sea Change. Hey, I love slow, beautiful, depressing music! But Modern Guilt is like middle-ground between Sea Change and his other, more up-beat music. I dig it. This is my favorite song from the album, Volcano.
Also, while I’m not a fan of the album as a whole, David Byrne and Brian Eno’s collaborative song Strange Overtones is amazing. You can download this gem off their website for free, and dance dance dance.
I know these are both not new, but new to me. I’m always a step behind when it comes to music.
