I’m walking in a serious fog today. I blame my alarm going off this morning during the strangest dream I have ever had involving cuddling with Chase Crawford on a sinking ship and random characters from The Wire. I don’t even know thing about Chase Crawford as I’ve never seen Gossip Girl before* and he’s way too pretty for me. But in my dream he was like Brad Pitt on a good day and I didn’t even care I was on a sinking ship or that Stringer Bell was clearly plotting my murder because I knew too much.

So I walked to Moscot today, as my new vision insurance just kicked in and my current glasses were purchased kind of hastily and I’m not a huge fan of them. Moscot has, by far, my favorite frames that I’ve seen so far in their Originals collection. I dig the lighter colors a lot.

*I’ve already been lectured on this so don’t even start.

Now a plane has crashed into the Hudson River so clearly I will not be getting anything else done today. wtf, today?

I need to complain about two things:

1. Tropicana’s redesign. What. The. Hell. I saw this a few weeks ago and was completely confused. I thought maybe I had bought some store brand oj and they were knocking off the name somehow. But no, they really redesigned it to look like that. Yesterday I cracked open NY Magazine to their approval matrix and saw that they totally agree. I’m not saying the old design was perfect, but it looked like orange juice packaging! Now it looks like medicine or paint or something.

(you can tell I went to design school by that red circle, huh?)

2. Is it just me or are bathing suits being advertised for way earlier than usual? When I left the house this morning it was 10 degrees. I won’t need a bathing suit for 5 more months.

Do you ever listen to music while you’re walking and pretend you’re in a movie? The last two days I put this on, walk through Manhattan and feel like I’m in a Woody Allen movie’s opening sequence.

Speaking of, I made the best winter mix ever a few weeks ago and have no Muxtape to share it with you (tear). I tried using 8tracks but shit failed on me 17 times so I gave up. Stupid laws and their getting me down.

It’s been 90% decided that moving out of Manhattan will need to happen when our lease is up this fall, for many reasons, the top of the list being more space and Billy being a bit closer to his school (in Queens). Therefore, I’m currently dreaming of said space. And furniture. And winning the lottery.

I have a big fat post in mind full of lovely photos, but I’m a wee too busy for that until tonight, so for now you can see my posts from this weekend over at Truant if you haven’t already! Sandwiches! Weird souvenirs!

I’m super busy today, so posting is eh, but if you’re having Kate withdrawls (who can deny my addicting ways?) you are in luck because I’m excited to announce that I will be blogging every weekend over at Truant magazine’s new blog!
