Best $10 you’ll spend

One more thing before I close my laptop. Alicia Carrier will make you a 5×7 drawing of your choosing for $10, and they are really great.

I’m a girl of few words today as I’m in bed sick, but I’m hoping it’s just allergy season barreling on in. I will hopefully be back in a healthier state Monday!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I’m quite in love with the first issue of Imaginary Zine, a showcase of new and young talented photographers. It very was hard to pick just two photos to post, so check the rest out.

Viola Studio takes wool sweaters and recycles them into animals that are so adorable I can hardly stand it.

How cool are these old Pantone papers? Used by designers before the days of digital design, they would awesome hung on a wall, for design nerds and the like. 20×26 sells some awesome bright colors, and jamaica sells some nice blues and greys for a bargain price.

I promised myself I wouldn’t look at street fashion blogs this week as I’m on a budget and they make me go out and buy things to replicate a certain look. BUT! Garance Doré’s latest post popped up on my blog lovin’ page and I died and went to fashion heaven. Everything is so perfect about this, even the furry hat I’m not usually into. She’s got that Jenny Lewis redhead beauty thing going on, and I don’t think just a shopping trip will help me pull this off, so it’s not breaking my promise technically.

Mirah’s new album, (A)spera, has been the amazing soundtrack to my madness* the last few days. I missed you, dear, four years without a solo album from you had me forgetting how much I bow down to you.
* as much as I wish I could have taken your advice to relax yesterday, my break was due to being so busy I couldn’t hardly catch my breath. Worked til 9, came home, sat back down and shoveled pizza in my mouth while working on freelance til 1am. But I like having those kinds of days every few weeks, it feels good and I sleep better. Plus we finished The Wire this weekend (tear) so what else do I have to do with my life?
Also, because so many of you have asked, my camera is effed and I have to send it to Canon to be fixed. After a lot of research it seems to not be a problem exclusive to my camera, and though I’m not sure what the problem is, it sounds like it was just damaged during shipment or just has a random fluke. Thank god for warranties…
I’m taking the day off from blogging as I am busy busy busy and need no blogging distractions!
See you tomorrow, friends.
