My dad used to be a cake decorator way back in the day. He would always make the most insane cakes for our birthdays for us, and when he was decorating no one was allowed in the kitchen so he could keep total concentration. When we’d decorate christmas cookies every year (an awesome family tradition) his would always be over the top amazing and take forever. I never, ever had the urge to do something like that until this very moment. I get it now, dad! Though I think it would pain me to watch someone eat my creations! I just want to run over to New York Cake and buy ridiculous supplies*.
