Bits Of My Weekend: Part 2

Things you're missing out on if you've never done them before: feeding a goat. hiking while drinking a glass of wine. playing baseball with the teams being homemade slanket wearers vs non-homemade slanket wearers in the sunset (beer induced idea, natch). eating ice cream from stewart's. standing in a field in the pitch black, totally silent, watching the fireflies. burning trivial pursuit in the stove because it is the worst game on earth (ok, that was just our fantasy idea). turn your phone and computer off for 3 whole days (only cheated one time for 20 minutes).

Great photos! I was upstate for the holiday as well (near Delhi, NY) and am semi-dreading the trip back into the city today...it's so heavenly here :)
The photo of the clouds and fireworks is my favorite.
Getting away from the outside world for a few days sure can be a freeing experience! I felt that way a lot when I was in Thailand earlier this year when all I had time to do was check my email and tell my mom I was safe and sound before heading off on the next adventure-- who knew actually living life could be this fun, eh? ;)
Oh, and it's needless to say it, but your braided 'do is so beautiful!
those are fireflies? now i simply must visit the east coast in the summertime!
Oh, no that's fireworks, Emily! I just realized how that sentence was confusing with that photo, haha. I couldn't photograph the fireflies as they are too speedy, but they were amazing. I'd never seen them before and it was quite a treat.
I don't know how you can get your braid so perfect! Mine never turn out like that.
Also, I find goats infinitely amusing. Love those pictures.
wow, GORGEOUS pictures. my weekend was great too, but i'm jealous! i love the country.
PATRICK?!!! Worlds collide!!
You know Kristina, this is not the first time someone has recognized one of my friends on my blog as their friend as well, so I have been expecting this to happen all day:)
I think I have that same stripe dress - but did you hem it shorter?
I love the photography, especially the candid portraits of people. Great job capturing the moment. Very Rockwellish.
And love the goats. Goats are so hilarious and awesome.
so your photos are like looking through a little window in my monitor. they are so clear and lovely.
what fun!!!! i also hate trivial pursuit and refuse to play :) and i want to feed a goat!!!
Wow, I love the braids (and can't help but wonder how you were able to accomplish that hairstyle)!
So great weekend !! i should to up my weekend : )

You guys look so young, so happy, and so totally unaware. That's great! I'm happy for you all. Enjoy life to the fullest.
