Kitsune Noir Mixcasts

The Kitsune Noir Mixcasts are a genius idea. I’m listening to the latest, and it is getting me through the mid-day brain crash. Just thought I’d share as I am so busy today I can’t dig up any other goodies to share with you!

I don’t normally blog about kids stuff, but how ridiculously cute are these mask and tail sets from Ouef? I might have to spoil my neice with one of these…

You know what Wendy and I think of a day without cats on the internet? We think they can just go shove it.
I present to you, the best of Ms. Wendy Steinman, the best damn cat on the internet:

We have a rainy few days ahead of us here in NYC, so I’m dreaming of some cute rain boots that are also comfortable and not big and clunky. If only these vintage lovelies were in my size!
ancestor vintage – Old Baltimore Vintage
Old Baltimore Vintage – pineapple mint

You have no idea how badly I want to make these shelves. Also while I’m dreaming about things that won’t happen, I want to live in the brick house. I already swooned over it before, but since discovering the blog, I’m using it as my main apartment decorating inspiration.

My four-day weekend was rudely party crashed by a dreaded sickness that I knew was coming on Thursday night, and didn’t let me have too much fun. Of course in between being half-dead we had apartments to look at, so my days revolved around running around in the mornings and then coming back home and crawling into bed to watch bad movies and make necklaces (I’m bad at napping, all the time, even if I’m sick.) By Monday I was determined to get out of the apartment and feel better, so by the late afternoon we headed to a bbq at our friend’s new apartment and I even managed to drink an entire beer! Which must have helped me because I’m feel much better today. Though I can tell I will be entertaining my coworkers with lots of coughing today…
I’m cutting today short because our company decided last night to close the office today! Hooray! I’m feeling really under the weather, so this is great news. I’m also taking Monday off for Labor Day, so Bits of My Weekend will be on Tuesday with (hopefully) tons of photos if I’m feeling better!
In the meantime, check out my Blogger’s Favorites list over at Simple Lovely! Thank you so much for having me, Joslyn! Such an awesome series.
Anyway, see you Tuesday, friends!

Between 1907 and 1915, Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii was the royal photographer in Russia. He rode through restricted parts of the country in his specially fitted dark-room car. He took color photographs by a method of his own invention – which is why the photos are so eerie. How many color photographs have you seen from 1907? He took three photos of the same subject with three seperate filters – red, green, and blue – and layered them into full color photos. The results are incredibly vivid and unbelievably sharp. I cannot stop looking at them. You can see the full slideshow over at Newsweek, “In Revolutionary Color”.
Thank you Lauren for sending this my way!

Can I please have every single thing in Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction’s shop?

All denim is $39 at Urban Oufitters! I’m trying to not buy so much from them right now because the last two things I bought there fell apart, but holy deal Batman! Plus I’m a big fan of the BDG cigarette ankle jeans.
