The Making of Fantastic Mr. Fox
January 26th, 2010

Pentagram’s book, The Making of Fantastic Mr. Fox, looks like it’s full of some amazing details (and inspiration) on my favorite movie of last year. I would love to curl up with it for hours…

(and if there was sound in this post, I’d close it with Mr. Fox’s signature whistle, which I did every ten minutes for a month after seeing the movie.)

That photo where the man is leaning over the set is totally unreal. The amount of work that goes into a stop motion like this is absurd and amazing. The labor of love is truly evident!
I, too, fell in love with Mr. Fox back in December: http://shortstorydesign.blogspot.com/2009/12/fantastic-mr-fox.html
