Music to get you through the week
The much anticipated second album from Charlotte Gainsbourg, IRM, is out today – a collaboration with Beck, and I’ve mentioned my excitement for it already way too many times. Oh my lord, it’s good. Can’t wait to buy it on iTunes when I get home so I can scare Wendy with my dance moves.
Also, Urban Outfitters latest mix of 25 free tracks is out, and as usual it doesn’t disappoint. I’m crazy about the first track by Tune-Yards and the Cold Cave track.
Oh and this has nothing to do with music, but on the subject of things to get you through the week (January is always so hard for me) how about we watch the new puppy cam? The pups are still kind of gerbil-like, but I love Shibas SO much that watching the cute mom is enough for me. Like, all day.

And me! I'm in the UK. I managed to download LSTN 3 though and it is one of the best things that happened to my itunes, making it all the more aaaak.

Thank you so much! Don't you wish we could postpone the New Year's holiday a little so that all the holiday fun weren't smashed into one month? January is definitely tricky…

I bought this very album today, so love it! Since you always suggest great albums/songs I come to love, I have one in return. Check out Sarah Jarosz, her album Song Up in Her Head is fantastic. Based on the other shared musical selections I think you would really love her. Randi

If we're sharing music, I've said it once and I'll say it again, Wild Beasts, Two Dancers is ridiculously brilliant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwHoh2vNdiA

Holy cow! How did I forget about Charlotte Gainsbourg's new album?! After your first mention of it, I wore out "Heaven Can Wait." I'm off to get the whole delightful lot. Thanks again :)

Thanks for the Charlotte Gainsbourg post. Bought the album yesterday and listened to it straight through, twice in a row. Would not have discovered her otherwise, so a huge thanks to you!!
