The Society
January 19th, 2010

Endless inspiration on the website for The Society, an Australian shop specializing in “local and global textiles, furniture, homewares and beautiful things.” The theme of the store rotates four times a year to various “societies” – I think Foundation is my favorite, from what I can see.

This looks like Mildreds Lane (the artist colony up in PA) http://www.mildredslane.com/
So rustic I love it.

Kate, you find the coolest things. I just want to dive into that drawer and create some strange Rube Goldberg project, you know, one that would go through some wildly complicated process to hit a light switch in the end.

Love these–I just can't get enough of these rough-hewn-wood and leather tones.
