Snow Day: the sequel

February 26th, 2010

Another snow day, this time even more snow, but snow day was not called at work until 2pm. Fine by me, still enough time to come home in the daylight and get a nice walk in. I picked my my library book finally (the library is only open while I’m at work, so aggravating) and we walked to the overpriced fancy grocery store on the other side of LIC to buy some nice steak to make for dinner. Seeing Wendy watch the giant snowflakes fall is unbelievably cute, I should film it. Bring it, snow day. But can you please go away tomorrow? I’m tired of you, pretty as you may be.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Wow! So weird that the mid-Atlantic states are getting soooo much snow and the New England states aren't. Makes me wonder if we're going to get some huge blizzard in April to even things out cosmically!

So jealous! I work in midtown and didn't get snow days during either of the blizzards :(

But, we did take a midday break for a snow ball fight/snowmen building on the office roof!

Great pictures… I'm about to trek home in it!

I'm so baffled by that shoveled sidewalk! I live in a very snowy part of the country and no one seems to bother. Pure treachery.

    Lovely photos! Happy weekend

As I work for the library I was totally not psyched that we didn't get a snow day… but I'm happy that you got to get your book at last!

i know the feeling.. i lvoe the snow.. but this is just too much snow.. had over 2 feet today.. but i think it's calming down now.. hasn't snowed in the last few hours.. could it be that the snow has finally decided to just move on.

I tried to film my cat watching snowflakes fall… such a peaceful moment. The camera didn't really pick up the snowflakes very well, but her little curious head is still cute!

I'm kind of jealous because we don't get snow in Lisbon, although I think I wouldn't wanna have it here, only because it looks so pretty :p

    Have a nice weekend!

I read a 'Spot of Bother' this past fall. I agree that it is a bit slow at first but definitely interesting by the end.

Your photos of the snow are also lovely; living in Manhattan I find my prettiest views of snow are on people's rooftops, balconies and window sills. I should take a note from you and start bringing my camera with me every day.

Thanks for the lovely shots and inspiration!
