Tokyo on my mind

I’ve wanted to visit Tokyo for as long as I can remember, and Ebony Bizys’ posts on her blog Hello Sandwich (such a cute blog) about her recent trip to Tokyo are making me so very, very jealous. Her post on Sunday about Shimokitazawa, a Tokyo suburb with tons of vintage stores and tiny cafes, had me especially in love. Ebony says it’s “packed with teeny tiny six-seater bars, adorable cafes, loads of cheap and cheerful restaurants, vintage and retro clothing stores, live music venues, secondhand record stores, homewares and vintage stores and is generally known for trendsetting in youth culture.” My kind of neighborhood. Who will teleport me there right now?

Yeah, I can't wait to go back. I was there in November. My next trip isn't until 2013 :/

Shimokitazawa is, indeed, really amazing. The cutest cafes are located there, along with the most adorable boutiques. I used to live in Tokyo–now you're making me all nostalgic for it. Ah!

I really, really want to go to Japan, but first I need to save up a bajillion dollars so that I have plenty of money for shopping and ramen.

I also want to go to Tokyo so bad! Thanks for reminding me – I love to think about it. And I have the feeling, the more I think about it, the more likely it will become true one day. Love the photos, especially the second one because of the colour of the car!

Looks like so much fun! You never get to see this side of Tokyo, its always downtown amongst the high rise and crowds. These shots remind me more of Portobello Road in London! :) Thanks for sharing!
