Have a wonderful weekend
Bits Of My Weekend might be a little lacking on Monday because I’m taking a metalsmithing class all weekend at the 92nd st Y! Of course this class falls on the warmest weekend of the year coming our way, and I’ll be inside all day, but hopefully when I get out of class the sun will still be shining in all it’s glory. I can’t wait for this class, but I’m a little nervous too because it’s a little out of my comfort zone to do something like this alone. Wish me luck!
Also, I’m working with someone to move this blog to wordpress, so there’s a chance there could be some glitches or downtime in the next few days, so fear not! Hopefully everything will be right as rain again.
Have a splendid weekend.

Have an incredible time at the Y class, Kate! Metalsmithing classes at my local art league were how I got introduced to so many techniques and they really helped me to expand my creative abilities. I'm sort of envious of you… I haven't done bench work in over a year now and really miss it. You will definitely come out of the class with loads of new skills and shouldn't be nervous at all–you are so creative already. I can't wait to see what you create!

i did a random silversmithing class a few years ago, and got so addicted, i enrolled in jewellery design! only finished a year (i'm a perfectionist, and OHMAN do they ever push you there! i needed a break…), but i'll finish it some day. metalworking's addictive.
anyway, you'll love it, and once the metal-bug bites…you won't be able to stop. join the club! :)

I hope you enjoyed the class! I’m so jealous, as metalsmithing is something i’ve ALWAYS wanted to do.
i was indoors all weekend as well :( – it definitely excites me for spring though! I think that your weather in NYC is similar to ours here in Toronto – though we don’t get snow days…. *sigh.
c’mon spring!!
