Super Important Recommendation

As much as I love oxfords and have been pining for a good pair for over a year, I haven’t been able to find a pair that looked good on my big feet and were comfortable enough to wear for all the walking I do. But last week I decided that this spring would be my lucky month and walked into my favorite (yet unfortunately named) cheap shoe store in Manhattan to find the most perfect, affordable pair on the planet. Just sitting there, calling out to me. They’re super comfortable, but I bought them slightly bigger and put insoles inside just to be on the comfort safe side. Highly recommended, and super cheap – but not cheap looking. I have to stop myself from wearing them every day.
UPDATE: apparently they sold out after I posted them, so I updated the link with a store that has them in stock. They’re the “holland” by Chelsea Crew. That’s probably an important bit of information in an important recommendation, huh? Also, I had no idea they were not leather until seeing this website! Very convincing fake leather.

These are fab! I’ve been looking for a good pair of Oxfords forever and, like you, am having trouble finding a pair that look right & feel great.
Thanks for the tip!

kate, you HAVE to get yourself another pair if you can. I found my perfect pair of oxfords for 20 bucks years ago whilst on holiday in stockholm and I stupidly only bought one pair! needless to say they’re falling apart now :0(

I’m actually thinking of going back and buying the same pair in black!

Love them! I support buying multiples – I got a pair of oxfords in the fall and wore them constantly all winter. Now they are starting to look a bit ragged, and I’ll be heartbroken if I can’t find a good replacement!

I’ve also been on the hunt for a great pair of oxfords, but have been unsuccessful thusfar. These look promising, but it looks like they’re sold out or the link doesn’t work anymore. Wah, wah. Would you mind sharing who makes them? Perhaps I could track them down somewhere else. Thank you!

Those look lovely! Unfortunately, it looks like the link isn’t working–any chance you know the brand/style name off hand?

Thank you for posting this! As you and others pointed out, it’s so hard to find a cute pair of oxfords that doesn’t tear up the back of my ankles and squeeze my toes. It’s so hard to choose between wearing something adorable, and being able to walk comfortably to the train, from the train, here, there, etc.

Have to warn against these. They are cute and comfortable, but my pair lasted a week before the tip of the sole was worn through. I don’t walk more than any other New Yorker. I was very, very disappointed with the quality.

Love these! Have a very similar pair in black and wear them all of the time. Mine were cheep as well: Aldo. They may be sold out by now as well, but its worth the check! Good luck!
