Peace Industry Felt Rugs

April 27th, 2010

Absolutely amazing felt rugs by Peace Industry. The rugs are made by a method that is “a revitalization of the oldest rug tradition from Iran that had been on the verge of extinction.” In case their looks didn’t amaze you enough already.

Got my hopes so high, only to be crushed by the prices. They are indeed beautiful, though.

Yeah, agree with all the comments, these rugs are very nice. Especially like the pattern on the first rug pictured – would look great in my study.

Melissa peace indusry rugs are really beautiful, and I also like the fact they re-invigorate the Iranian felt industry, albiet only to a small degree. it would be great to see more people following a similar path and making ontemporary rugs using traditional methods.

There’s something really cool about these rugs. I work all day cleaning oriental rugs, mainly wool and silk, but these felt rugs have a unique charm about them. I’d really like one in our home.
