Calder Rings

Amazing new rings by Conroy & Wilcox.
Everything they make is amazing, they’re my fantasy wedding ring jeweler. I haven’t said this in a long time, but, le sigh.

Wow, how gorgeous! They would look amazing as a set of two or three on the same finger. Thanks so much Kate, you always find awesomeness :-)

I adore Conroy & Wilcox. They made my engagement ring (which they don’t sell anymore) and I love it.

after studying jewellery-making for a year, it really makes you stop and appreciate all the hard work that goes into not only designing, but actually physically MAKING something out of metal. (to state the obvious: polishing ain’t easy!)
that’s why when i can see independent designers crafting their own pieces like these, it warms my heart to a degree i can’t explain. it’s hard to even copy someone else’s design; to make something that is truly an original is AWESOME.
anyway. i guess that’s my way of saying, you always manage to find the coolest stuff that i connect with on some deep level. so thanks. :)

Oooh. Thanks for this post. I’ve been wanting to get a ring made for myself for years now, but hadn’t found a jeweler that I loved loved loved. Maybe the hunt is over!

Oh these are so unlike anything I’ve ever seen! And what a marvelous ode to Alexander Calder! I saw his jewelry when it was at the MFA in Boston and it absolutely blew my mind- a perfect marriage of design, function and whimsy. Most people know Calder for his mobiles and heroic-scale sculptures, but he was also an incredible jeweler.
Huzzah, Kate. These are quite a find.
