simple stripe

I’ve been thinking about these Simple Stripe Keds a lot lately. I think they’d take me on fun adventures until the winter, no? I wanted the Steven Alan pair bad, but I can’t bring myself to spend more than $40 on Keds right now, awesome pattern or not. Plus these are perfect leather laces candidates!

steven alan is incredibly cool and his keds collection is no exception. the yarn dyed stripes are so apropo for summer frolicking :)
i’m excited about the upcoming gap + keds collaboration next month, too. i’m the accessories buying director at the gap and it was a dream working with keds on the product. hope you like them too :)

You’re right $40 bones seems like alot for Keds. Have you seen the ones they have at urban outfitters? They look almost the same…

Dulci, I was saying that the steven alan pair was too much at $70. $40 (they’re even $35 for the plain pairs) is actually not bad for Keds – they last forever and are really comfy. I had a pair of those from urban and they SUCK! They smell like chemicals and fell apart after 10 wears. I do walk a lot though, so maybe they’re just not meant for that. They do have great colors, though!
