This mix has been a long time coming. I collect beautiful songs like objects, carefully selected for the times when I feel the need to close my eyes and sing along, or emailed to my brother to learn on the guitar so we can play it when we next see each other. They’re for times when I need to feel better (some are uplifting), or times when I need the song to help pull the sadness out of that knot in my chest (some are quite melancholy). These were not selected for their cool factor or because they’re new – some of them cater to the fact that I love to sing and may not be for everyone. Enjoy.

perfect mix! it really is beautiful. just what i wanted to hear today all day long. and you’ve put some of my all time favorites like cello song, this must be the place (which i always play when i need a pick me up, harvest moon, if you want me.. so many! thanks for sharing.

Seriously beautiful. I love a playlist that already has some of my favorite songs, because I know I’ll find more to add to my list. Halfway through and already finding new favorites.

This is a lovely mix! So many times I feel unhip when I look at the playlists bloggers put together because I’m not familiar with a lot of the musicians, but I know and love so many of the tunes you collected here, and they work perfectly together. Thanks, Kate, and have a great weekend!

What a great mix!! A lot of my favorites in their too. My “beautiful” mix is labeled “Running Through The Fields” on my itunes – an expresson my friend uses for me because he thinks that where my mind goes when I’m dazing off.
This mix will surely help me through some studying.
