i’ve been wanting something more relaxing to listen to while my boyfriend has his naptime (which is a lot), and maggie’s mix is doing the trick. thanks for posting it!

also, i agree with you on the differing-viewpoints with regards to a city. i’ve had so many people say that everyone in toronto (where i’m living now) is friendly, but we had many friendlier encounters when visiting NYC, so…maybe it’s a canada vs. usa debate? haha.

What Dani said about New York really resonated with me because I felt the same way about it. However, I didn’t find that true about all parts of New York. I especially found it true of Williamsburg and Greenpoint, my main stomping grounds. You never knew who you’d end up talking to. I feel that way about Iowa City too but never did about Kansas City. I think you’re right that different people just experience different cities in different ways.

I love your friday bits because it’s so simple and inspiring. so often blogs are filled to the brim with links and pictures and such (which is nice, too!) but it can make it overwhelming. you, however, always select the best things.

I just happened to come across Oana Befort’s blog a few weeks ago and I was hooked. You described it perfectly, she really makes her beautiful drawings seem so effortless!
