I think those sandals are wicked cute! What is up with people lately? I just started noticing that crap on pinterest too. It’s so ridiculous it’s kind of funny. Maybe people are trying to be funny? Probably not, probably just jerks. I hope it stops either way. I think you have super taste! :)

ugh…do NOT get me started on the comments..!

WHEN did this happen?! i’m so glad that you said that some of the comments angered you, because they frustrate me beyond belief. i know ‘it’s just pinterest’ – as seems to be the common retort to whenever a pinner reminds other people to be nice – but i don’t understand how people can’t appreciate that if they don’t find something as inspiring as i do, that doesn’t mean that i want to read their ‘uh, no’ or ‘i want to vomit’ comments (and they’re some of the tamer responses, as no doubt you’ve seen).

it’s a shame, because i don’t want to block all comments necessarily, but like you said, they just take up some much room (and mind space!).

and now my rant is over, too :)

As for Pinterest, I completely agree regarding the comments. I’ve seen them go so quickly negative, and I’m sorry that happened to you and your shoes. I find comments unnecessary as a whole to that site (would I want someone adding post-its to my real bulletin board on what they think of my tear outs? Um no.). Me posting a photo from an editorial does not mean I want a litany of comments on how skinny the model is. The “social” aspect of the site has started to cloud its categorizing and bookmarking purpose, which makes me sad since i loved it so much 8 months ago.

Saltwater sandals are available all over the US! I wore them all the time as a kid. They actually look terrible on me as an adult though because I have huge feet, so I look ridiculous as they’re very flat and a bit wide. But it’s too bad as they’re so, so cute.

It is 0 degrees here in London so looking at the new Toast catalogue is like wishing for Summer, Sun and Sea.

Mallory, Anne Louise is one of the pinterest boards I follow that the comments shock me on the most! I think I had to unfollow a few of them because the comments angered me so much I would get too stressed out. I had to unfollow a bunch of bigger bloggers for the same reason. Which is DUMB because I love their pins and it has nothing to do with them, I just get way too upset seeing things like someone pinning a painting a friend made and a bunch of mean women commenting things like “did your baby make this?” and “this is and will never be art. it’s shit.” Bleh! Luckily you can delete comments, but yeah, no blocking. I wish you were able to collapse all comments off on the home feed. I don’t need to see that shit and it takes up so much room. Whoa, rant!
