Ladies in the light

We were in the Seattle area for two days and Will flew home before me to go back to work. After I took him to the airport, I snuck away from my family for a much too short meal with my besty Andrea. Since she is such a beauty and the light was so lovely, she agreed to crouch down to my height for a photo. Such is the life of a shorty. The next day I drove to Portland with my mom to stay with her for a couple days, and before my flight home I snuck away again for a short meal with Anja, who sent me the best list ever of things to do in Portland that my mom was very impressed by. It was great to finally meet her. I’m sad the photo of her is a touch out of focus (due to my semi-broken finder I am replacing), but I still like it. A Northwest trip with more time for friends will happen someday, I hope.
We’re moving today so things will probably be quiet here for the rest of the week. I have a big post of the Ermie shoot ready, but I’m waiting until Jennifer has the shop updated so you can mosey right on over and treat yo’ self. Hope those of you in the US have a good 4th of July if you have time to celebrate!

Portraits are the best. I think the one of Anja is especially beautiful despite being out of focus, it has a certain lovely softness to it. The bokeh on the right is amazing too.

Would you be willing to share the Portland list? As a life-long east coaster looking to move to Portland, I’d love to see.
